Zoe Kordou


I was born and raised in Athens. I graduated from Geitonas School, and then I studied Chemistry at the University of Patras. In 2016 I joined the postgraduate program in Applied Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry, from which I graduated with "Excellent". My diploma thesis was titled "Effect of flavonoids on the expression and activity of proteasome on chondrocytes and fibroblasts of different origins, with emphasis on the effect of flavone quercetin." Since 2018 I have been a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Pharmacy of University of Patras, in the Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Therapy Lab, under the supervision of Professor George Patrinos. My scientific subject is the Pharmacogenomic and Genomic Aspect of Psychiatric Diseases such as Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Schizophrenia.
